Itinerary
Day - 01 - Arrival at Alipurduar Station (NOQ) & Transfer to Phuentsholing & Make Permit & Transfer to Thimphu
On arrival pick up from station and transfer to Phuentsholing - It is approximately 60 kilometers and is nearly 90 minutes to Phuentsholing, the second largest town in Bhutan is on the Indian border, next to the town of Jaigaon - Phuentsholing is the point of entry for travelers to Bhutan - Processing of Paperwork for Tourist Permit on arrival at Phuentsholing. After processing of Tourist Permit at Phuentsholing - Transfer to Thimphu - It is approximately 175 kilometers and is nearly 06 hours drive from Phuentsholing town - Thimphu is the capital and largest city of Bhutan - It has a population of 104,200 - On Road Water Falls & Natural Sightseeing, Chukha Dam (Top View) En-route - Check-In at Hotel - Overnight Stay at Thimphu.
Note: Need to reach at Phuentsholing office before 12 pm so proceed to documentation part on time and further proceed to Thimphu.
Day - 02 – Thimphu Local Sightseeing
Morning after breakfast proceed for Major Sightseeing Covering 1) Buddha Point, 2) Coronation Park, 3) Tashicchhoe Dzong, 4)The Memorial Chorten, 5) National Library, 6) School of Arts & Crafts, 7) Handicraft Institute, 8) Motithang Takin Reserve (Takin Zoo) & 9) Simply Bhutan. Check in at Hotel & Night Stay at Thimphu.
Day - 03 - Thimphu to Punakha & Sightseeing
After obtaining Punakha Permit transfer to Punakha & Sightseeing on the way - Punakha is a town in the Himalayas of Bhutan known for the Punakha Dzong, a 17th-century fortress at the juncture of the Pho and Mo Chhu rivers - The fortress hosts the Punakha Tshechu, a religious festival featuring masked dances and music - In the surrounding Punakha Valley, temples include the fertility-focused Chimi Lhakhang and the hilltop Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, which has river and mountain views- Processing Tourist Permit & Transfer to Punakha - It is approximately 90 kilometers and is nearly 03 hours from Thimphu - Enroute Visit 1) Semtokha Dzong Out View, 1) Dochu la Pass, 2) Chimmi Lhakhang, 3) Punakha Dzong, 4) Suspension Bridge (Longest Bridge in Bhutan). Check in at the hotel & Overnight Stay in Hotel at Punakha / Wangdue.
Day - 04 - Punakha to Paro & Sightseeing
Morning after breakfast drive back to Paro - Passing by Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge En Route, distancing approximately 143 kilometers and is nearly 05 hours drive by road Paro - Paro is a valley town in Bhutan, west of the capital, Thimphu - It is the site of the country's only international airport and is also known for the many sacred sites in the area. It has a population of 45,000. Visit Paro Dzong, Paro Museum & Nya Mey Zampa Bridge. Check in at the hotel & Overnight Stay in Hotel at Paro.
Day - 05 – Paro Sightseeing
Morning after breakfast proceed for local sightseen. Paro is a town and seat of Paro District, located in the Paro Valley of Bhutan - It is a historic town with many sacred sites and historical buildings scattered through the area - After Breakfast: Visit 1) Drukgyal Dzong, 2) View of Taktsang Monastery, 3) Kichu Lhankhang Monastery, 4) Dungtse Lhankhang, 5) Paro Airport View Point & 6) Paro Town. Also visit Handicrafts Market. Back to Hotel & Overnight Stay at Paro.
Day - 06 - Transfer to Alipurduar Railway Station (NOQ) via Phuentsholing & Jaigaon
After Breakfast - Check-Out from Hotel - Proceed for Paro International Airport Sightseeing - The Only International Airport of Bhutan in Paro - Next drive & drop to Phuentsholing - It is Approximately 250 kilometers and is nearly 7 to 8 hours' drive by road - The drive is through Dooars i.e. the foothills of Himalaya it is plain forested area and number of Tea estate - One of the most beautiful and green belt of the region - Stop at Coronation bridge at Sevoke for photography if time permits – For onward Journey
